Roswell Symphony Foundation
.
"We make a living by what we get, but we
make a life by what we give."
-- Winston Churchill
The sole purpose of the RSO
Foundation is to ensure that there will always be a Roswell
Symphony Orchestra. Due to the generosity of many donors in our
community, the Foundation is blessed with significant assets that
are invested with conservative caution and provide a modest
income to the Symphony each year for its operations.
Our Goals Are:
Increase our funds to supplement the musicians' housing, travel and salaries and to assist with the cost of Guest Artists.
Encourage growth of funds through additional donations
from individuals and businesses in our community.
Continue to invest new and existing funds wisely and prudently
Why is a gift to the RSO Foundation an attractive option for
donors?
The current tax law, with its increased marginal tax rate
for individuals (nearly 40%), effectively makes the
after-tax cost of gifts just 60 cents on the dollar for
those in the highest marginal tax bracket.
There is substantial tax leverage for those in lower tax
brackets.
What kind of gift options are available?
Cash, Securities, Other highly appreciated property, Life Insurance and Bequests.
Charitable Remainder Trusts with a Wealth Replacement Trust for deferred gifts.
One person's charitable act DOES make
a difference. If you are interested in learning more about the
many ways you can help ensure the future of the RSO through the
Foundation, please contact the RSO office at 623-5882.
The tax rules concerning certain types of gifts to charity are complex.
You should always consult with your professional tax or
legal advisor.
